Ping-pong, cats and the horror of the BP still...
We've just put up a table tennis table on our patio and I can’t wait to start some family competitions. Sadly there are some rain clouds gathering over the garden. But we can be guaranteed hours of play over the summer as every member of my family gets horribly competitive over ping-pong for some reason.
Sunday night at 10 PM I've got an interview going out on the BBC local syndicated programme on BBC Shropshire, Stoke, Hereford & Worcester, Coventry & Warwickshire and WM. I was interviewed by Keith who does the Sunday evening show - a real character! We discussed many aspects of unhappiness - and how to become happier - off the back of my book How to be a Happy Human.
The celebrations continue tonight for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday - she looks incredible for her age!
This is brief as we’re also packing to go away for a couple weeks. Have so many things to sort out my watering the plants and feeding the cats! They hate it when they go away as they can tell there's a different vibe in the house.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: don't underestimate the power of your cat or dog to know that something is up! They can sense when you're getting excited, they see when you've got the suitcases out, they're upset by the hustle and bustle. My poor cats they do miss us when we're gone.
Now on a serious note I'm horrified - as I'm sure you are -about the huge oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico from the BP oil production platform explosion. we can only wait and see how much devastation of wildlife and the environment will unfold. Makes me even more determined to do what I can in our home for the environment - every light and computer button that can be switched off, recycling everything, etc., can be a tiny speck of energy savings going towards protecting this precious planet.
Er... on that note have a great Saturday, love, Pam X
