The good, the bad, and counting your blessings...
It just shows how power can goes to the head - the audacity of Arnie thinking he can hide a love child of 13 years. No wonder his classy, smart, beautiful wife Maria Shriver left him. How could you trust someone like that ever again?
TGIF - need some R & R, the week has whizzed past - lots of good stuff plus one not-so-good thing - didn't get a ‘gig’ I’d hoped for - oh well, onwards and upwards. As my late-father would say - take it on the chin - and that’s the best policy.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: the best way of dealing with a disappointment - or not getting something you wished for - is to make a point of count your blessings. So I've counted mine - family and friends - and I feel very lucky.
If you've had disappointing/bad news or are down in the dumps I hope you'll look at what really counts and embrace the good thing/s in your life.
Really enjoyed the discussion on losing your virginity on The Vanessa Show yesterday - because I worked as a consultant to the Department of Health on the Sex: Worth Talking about campaign (launched 18 months ago) I have access to all sorts of statistics about sex and young people's attitudes and experiences. One piece of advice: be in control when you decide to lose your virginity! It should always be your choice not through pressure.
It was fab to meet the fabulous Arlene Phillips who was on The Vanessa Show - what a lovely, beautiful woman... so friendly, we had a nice little chat about various things in the green room.
Also Philip Escoffey was in the green room - his new game show Impossible sounds intriguing - it's now on the planner.
Looking forward to with the release of the Joy Division/New Order album out soon - called Total - yep, total genius.
Have a lovely weekend, Pam x
