Can't beat a girls' gossip
Had lunch with some pals and caught up on the gossip - between the 4 of us there was lots! One of them got married recently, one recently had a baby, and one has a first date tonight - so lots of girl talk - what would we do without it?
It’s Guy Fawkes but we're not having our annual fireworks party this weekend as we’re going to a special birthday party tomorrow night in York. I've never been but I hear the old city is beautiful and our friend is on tour up there. So we'll celebrate with her - love going to new places.
Tonight we’re seeing a screening of Pedro Almodovar’s Broken Embraces. He did Volvar with Penelope Cruz - a fascinating film and I hope Embraces is equally good.
It's sad but true I'll be recording Saturday night’s X Factor as we won't be back from York. Can’t miss it - have been reeled in by the lovely quirkiness of Stacey (my hubby does and oppression of her as a turkey), Danyl's ups and downs and the ongoing Jedward horror show. I think Louis Walsh is smarter than the rest of us - he realised there'd be a car-crash-style fascination (and obviously lots of young fans) for those twins. It’ll be great curling up for a double dose of X Factor on Sunday night particularly if it's as grey as today.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: Thinking of curling up - if there's any distance between you and a loved one there's nothing like a hug or two, a little bit of cuddling-up, to heal that distance. Make the first move, it's worth it, Pamx
