We take for granted, a body language signal of attraction, cooking mistakes...
Sending huge good luck vibes to the people of Egypt to get the new government they deserve – maybe they’ll end up with a true democracy...it’s so easy to take the way we live for granted and forget that many other people around the world don't enjoy our freedoms.
Fascinating to watch Hillary Clinton and William Hague pussy footing around when we know what they really want. Of course diplomatic code means they can't call for Mubarak to quit. They can only call for him to avoid violence against peaceful demonstrators.
Sooooo looking forward to my monthly slot on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire with the lovely Sue Marchant - we always have a lively chat about something topical - listen in on the Net after 815 tonight if you've got a moment or want to text or ring through a dilemma.
Interesting piece of body language research reported over the weekend confirming a body language signal I've always recommended... if you like someone then while you're talking gently touch their forearm not their hand. Called "the Bridge" it bridges your personal spaces making the other person feel comfortable with you - and that's very attractive.
Well, we had a fab time having friends over to dinner on Saturday night but the pad Thai didn't go to plan as we do not usually make such a large amount and some of it was overcooked because of that. There we were trying to get the prawns fully cooked but in the meantime overcooked the slivers of green vegetables like the asparagus.
Hope you enjoyed the sunshine yesterday - I know it makes a difference to people who have been e-mailing me about the winter blues.
I was chatting to a friend over the weekend who is being sexually harassed at work. No matter how many jokes have made about the sexism row there's nothing funny about sexual harassment. I told her she must keep a diary of the events, set her boundaries strongly and if possible by e-mail so she has a written record.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: if you're being sexually harassed please don't think you have to put up with it. You need to do something about it. Even if you're working in a small company - who don't have the personnel department to complain to - see your Citizen’s Advice Bureau about it.
No one should have their stomach churning as they go into work worried about what's going to be said to them that day. Or feeling undermined and as if they are hard work doesn't count.
Be strong, you can sort it!
Started the day with Biffy Clyro - can hardly go wrong with them! Happy Monday, Pam x
