Being lazy and experimenting with cookery...
A complete lazy start to the day with newspapers, tea and toast in bed until 1030 - the perfect Saturday morning.
Then I experimented on my family with a late lunch and made my first ever pad Thai. I'm practising for when friends come over in a week. I didn't poison anyone and actually it was really tasty, just needed a little bit more crushed peanuts and coconut on the top.
This is a landmark for me, I'm not a natural cook!
Now we're off to see Ben Affleck's new film The Town - because it's going to be violent we're going to an early showing. Although usually I like to go to late showings for films. But I can't sleep after seeing violence.
Will let you know what I think about it tomorrow (unless it's a completely lazy Sunday) or on Monday. We have chores to do tomorrow at a family member’s flat as well as popping over to see a friend's new flat , so after a bit of a lie in and all that I may not get on the computer.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: but it's good to avoid technology for at least 24 hours occasionally! Life didn't revolve around our PCs and BlackBerries until about 10 years ago. I actually feel better when I have a complete day without them.
And I nag my children not to spend forever on their BlackBerries, etc. - I know they're old enough to make up their own minds but you can't stop being a mum over these things.
Enjoy your Saturday evening, Pam X
