Loose Ladies, Top tips to reach your goals, "D Day" and Eastenders...
V excited about being a guest on Loose Women tomorrow – got to get some fake tan on - look an awful shade of pasty pale.
Have you set some goals for 2011? Then please check out my top tips on the "HIM channel" on MSN UK where my article's gone live. These can apply to women too and will give you the best shot.
I love seeing someone achieve a goal - we have so many distractions but when you get that focus switched on it's such a confidence boost.
If you're a straight girl who fancies a gay guy check out my weekly iVillage.co.uk blog - I've answered a woman's dilemma about being obsessed with her gay pal...basically you must back off!
It‘s reported that "D day" is approaching when divorces hit their peak. Some words of advice: unless you've got an abusive/otherwise horrible partner - in which case you should leave them - please dump your ‘grass is greener’ thinking if your partner is simply a bit boring, occasionally useless, etc.
The grass being greener?? I've got a panto-esque cry of, "Oh no, it isn't!" Instead of being greener it's a touch on the unkempt, in need of mow and a good water, side.
There are all manner of people just like you and your partner, and the hubby and me, out there with the bad behaviours and annoying habits that go hand-in-hand with a long-term relationship.
Believe me, I hear from so many divorced people who bitterly regret having jumped ship because they couldn't stand one more morning of him slurping his tea from behind his morning paper or one more evening of her plucking her facial hair while they watched telly.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: Why do you think so many people go back for second time around? Because they've discovered that the grass isn't that luscious shade of green they’re hoping for
To paraphrase the Joni Mitchell classic Big Yellow Taxi - "don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone... today's paradise pick out a new partner! Except you might find you don't get paradise but the same old stuff from you next relationship.
Improve the one you're in unless it's desperate!
Still really NOT liking Eastenders at the mo’ - I think the Ronnie and Kat storyline is horrible. Yup, it's normally in my guilty pleasure but I think it's awful the way they've made out bereaved mum Ronnie to be a baby kidnapper. Thankfully most people realise that bereaved mothers would never ever countenance a terrible thing.
Take care, Pam x
