No one's perfect, didn't poison anyone...
Oh dear, already the ‘celebrity’ [who is that male model? And David Hasselhoff's ex-wife??]Big Brother house looks set for some melt downs led by Kerry Katona - not sure her friends and family should've let her go in.
Celebs often want us to think their lives are so perfect - yet the average showbiz report shows us how troubled many are - but still so many people I work with strive for perfection - in themselves, their relationships, at work. I just posted an article on this - check out "hot off the press" on my homepage.
TODAY’S TIP: there is no such thing as perfection - part of being human is to be imperfect and accept it.
If you constantly beat yourself up with a ‘negative voice’ telling you that your "useless, a failure, never going to amount to much, such an idiot," etc. stop it in its tracks.
It can be helpful to keep a diary for day of that voice. Then think of ways to combat it. Remind yourself of your little successes. When it tells you you're useless tell yourself you aren't - and believe it!
Loved hearing AWOL Nation on XFM this morning - can't wait until the album comes out.
Result - didn't poison the pals we have over for dinner last night - made our pesto [took two large basil plants] which was tasty even if I say so myself. And we did marinated lamb that we've marinated overnight - quite proud of myself - my last few cooking attempts have been reasonably disastrous.
Enjoy your weekend, Pam x
