So many random things...from chilling storylines to being thoughtful...
A few random thoughts today... yay, the sun's out at least in my part of London - heading out for a walk before sorting out dinner we’re cooking for friends tonight. Oh dear, it's a classic case of having over friends who are great cooks and I have to try not to poison them with my meagre offerings - note to self: try and improve my kitchen abilities this year!
You know I'm a massive Obama fan and don't you just hate it when you see someone you "worship" make a bad choice? I'm talking about his decision to go on a very expensive Hawaiian holiday over Christmas while so many Americans are out of work. Why give your enemies such ammunition?
I'm not surprised that the retired teacher’s been released on bail over the awful murder of Jo Yeates - although he looked straight out of The League of Gentlemen that doesn't make him guilty and as a frail looking 65 he doesn't appear to have the strength to commit such a horrible crime... let's hope this hasn't given the real murderer extra time to cover his tracks.
Away from such sad stories to DVDs - absolutely loved the Social Network -- well acted and despite knowing the overall story it was gripping as the detail was revealed.
Hmmm... Harry Potter was another story - only ever read the first book and despite having had a friend in the film it was a mishmash of made-up words, ridiculous characters and and unending story - that still hasn't ended as we await part two! To be fair to Potter fans I can see how it hooks them in - the costumes and make-up were exceptional.
Never got around to watching Inception - will have to wait till tomorrow. Instead we went over to Eastenders and watch the horrific storyline unfold of Ronnie switching her dead baby James with Kat's baby Tommy. I can see how there have been complaints - it's a chilling, horrendous storyline.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: be thoughtful of someone else every day. An acquaintance (not even a good friend) did something very thoughtful for me yesterday on New Year's day - those little reminders of how you can change someone's day for the better are always good to have!
Enjoy your day and I look forward to hearing from you on "your e-mail of the week" throughout the new year! Pam X
