Grass is greener and faking orgasms...
My weekly "agony" slot on Tom Dunne’s show has been moved up to 10 AM today and I'm really looking forward to it. The producer told me that one thing we're going to be talking about is a man that’s wondering "when it's time to leave his marriage" - he's thinking about leaving it because it's become a bit bland and boring. Hmm...as my late mother used to say "only the boring get bored!" Now one of my favourite sayings!
In a nutshell? It's time to leave your marriage ONLY when you've tried every single thing to make it work and the bad days still for outweigh the good days. And of course if there’s abuse going on, open that door and walk away.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I think people throw in the towel far too soon in many relationships. Their needs aren’t being met in some way, or their partner’s being a bit selfish, or things are a bit boring. But the problem with throwing in the towel too quickly - and moving on to the next person - is you'll simply be disappointed in the next relationship. Because you haven't tried to solve things in previous relationships, it means you haven't developed skills to make things better.
Believe me if you think the grass is greener out there it’s 99% certain that you're wrong! Unless of course, as I said, if you’re being abused in any way - then get out!
I'm so excited about the new interactive part coming to my site - any day now you'll be able to e-mail me and I'll be choosing an e-mail of the week to post a reply to. I wish I could answer everyone's e-mails but seeing as I work very long hours, and also manage my own site, it's the best I can do.
It's one of those grey mornings where I'm counting on Biffy Clyro to get me going - so grey out there!
In my Love it! magazine column this week I've advised a young woman who is faking orgasms - once you start it's hard to stop because you don't know what to say to your partner about why you lied. Don't start - it's far better to say that you sometimes have difficulty reaching climax and then you two learn what satisfies you.
Hope you have a good one, Pam X
