Agony, floozies and more...
Gorgeous, wintry, crisp, sunny morning out there today! I'm looking forward to my agony slot on Tom Dunne's show after 11 and I know from the producer we've had some great questions come in including one from the adult child of two unhappy parents. She wants to know if she should say something to either parent - and she's worried they're heading for divorce - or an unhappy life together for the rest of their days.
It's tough being piggy in the middle as a child - whether you’re 22 or 12. If your marriage is unhappy you should check out The Kids in the Middle Campaign (UK) that many of us in the ‘agony business’ have worked on. There are two booklets available to help you, help your children, get through separation and divorce. You can listen in on the Net (News talk radio Dublin) to hear my advice to the emailer on Tom's show.
Btw, I've added a couple new audio recordings in the "relax and let go" section - I sure need to get a new microphone and recording system - apologies for the not very great sound quality - hopefully the message and advice is clear.
I can’t believe more floozies (now that's an old word!) are crawling out of the woodwork claiming to have been with Tiger Woods. I don't know who is worse - a man who can’t keep his trousers up or the women who want to sell the story of getting his trousers down. Looking forward to doing an interview on City Talk radio, Liverpool with Duncan at drivetime about sex addiction and other such things.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: saying sorry No. 2 - I mentioned apologising snapping at my hubby a few days ago. And that means a wholehearted apology and really mean it. There is no point saying sorry with a tone of voice or look on your face that shows you don't mean it. A pal mentioned this to me about her husband the other day - he apologised for getting slightly abusive after a Christmas party and drinking too much -she could tell he didn't mean it. And you know what? It made her even angrier. She'd rather have no apology then a fake one. So dig deep - and really mean it - even if you don't apologise for awhile until you've calmed down.
Want to get a music buzz first thing? Try listening to the what I can only describe as the ‘rampage of rock’ who are Them Crooked Vultures - put together by the one and only gorgeous Dave Grohl - you might’ve seen them on Jonathan Ross Friday night - which I record usually just to see the music at the end.
Yay - seeing a girlfriend for lunch later to break up the workday. Enjoy someone's company today, lots of love, Pam X
