Are you leaving your partner behind, the relics from the wreckage of broken relationships...
Do you feel you've outgrown your relationship? Or are you in a relationship that's less than satisfying and having a flirtation at work?
Check out my weekly blog on iVillage.co.uk that went live last night - I've advised a woman who's not sure if she should stay with her long-term boyfriend or not.
She still loves him but she's tired of his immature ways and seems to have left him behind emotionally. They're in their 20s so this isn't surprising. People change so much - but in different rates - in their 20s.
Behind on my telly but last night caught up on last week's The Killing - looks like it's going to be Bennet's study partner - still creepy despite thinking I know who the killer is. The type of prog I never watched it late at night!
Was good talking to presenter Joe Talbot yesterday on BBC radio Sussex and Surrey - we covered a lot about what people go through when they break up, and the reminders of their ex relationship... no relics from the wreckage. It's amazing what people will hang on to - ticket stubs from concerts they went to, beer mats in pubs they drank in - you name it even if they hate their ex.
Funny enough, thinking of radio Sussex and Surrey, I'm having lunch with my old pal presenter Mark Carter who's presenting the breakfast show there this week. A complete treat - as he’s lovely!
TODAY’S TIP: back to broken relationships - if you feel you're leaving your partner behind - impatiently, or what you aspire to, your goals, etc. - the first thing you should do is decide if they simply need a nudge to pull their socks up and move forward, grow up, whatever - or are they really a hopeless case?
This takes some tough thinking and often the decision lies in whether you really have fallen out of love -and can't be bothered to watch them change - even if they could change.
But don't start a fling while you're making a decision - that's a sure-fire way to complicate everything.
It might be time for tough talking with your partner but they deserve better than being cheated on.
Happy Wednesday - evidently Wednesdays are the healthiest day of the week new research has found - funny that as I'm fighting a head cold, Pam x
