OCD, houseguests from hell, ring me on Sunday night about...
Could you have OCD? Do you worry excessively? Do you repeatedly check things like locking the doors? Or are you obsessing about social networking? Take a look at my article on OCD and social networking in the Sun newspaper today - there's also some quotes from celebs about their OCD and other info on OCD.
There’s help available so please do get it!
In today's Express newspaper I've written about how houseguests can be hell (my recent houseguests excluded!) – so throw on the latch and close the curtains - and hide until they go away - joke! Although I do use the Basil Fawlty method of guest management so they don't feel too comfortable!
This Sunday I start the four weekend summer special for BBC radio Western regions - kicks off Sunday between 10 PM and 1 AM. You can ring me during the programme on 0845 301 1034, OR text 81333, start your message with the word 'LOVE'... can’t wait to hear from you!
Seeing as I've just written about it - and so many people struggle with these issues - we're chatting about obsessions and compulsions, and fears and phobias (do you have a phobia? I self-treated myself for one I'll tell you about), plus whatever else you'd like to discuss (relationships, confidence, etc.) on the first programme Sunday night - ring me with your experience, story or for advice after 10 PM Sunday evening.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: it's easy to laugh at someone who's obsessive about something but please remember it's not a laughing matter to them if it's taking over their life.
I often hear from people in the grips of OCD - they get teased by friends, family and work colleagues - it only makes their anxiety worse and anxiety fuels OCD.
Over to The Apprentice... I'm a biscuit fiend so enjoyed watching their biscuit baking mishaps - it was right that Zoe went - she didn't quality control their biscuits (oops, big mistake) but she's a bit of a ‘tough cookie’ - too bossy - sorry about the bad pun!
So Deliciano was dashed by Murray - maybe the fact his mum had been flirting with Feliciano Lopez made him all the more determined to win... eek Nadal next!
It's Thursday - have just posted a new "your e-mail of the week" - it's from Debbi whose fiance was killed in a car crash two years ago and she's finding it tough thinking about looking for love again. When I hear someone might Debbi my heart breaks for them - it makes you feel lucky for what you have.
Take care, Pam X
