From control freak to flirting...
If you’re feeling wound up tight as a watch spring (probably due to the stresses of December) trying to control everything you're juggling then check out my quiz in today's Express newspaper. This is something I know all too well about - a control freak - moi? Yup, I had to check my worst impulses and relax about things. But it can damage your life if you don't watch it.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: just for today let go of one thing you’re always ‘controlling’ - whether it's worrying your hair’s just right and brushed perfectly or that your work is absolutely perfect to please your boss - let go and relax about it. The world won't crumble!
Spent most of yesterday chatting to friends on the phone while my hubby was busy with ‘man stuff’ like chopping logs in the garden for fires. Just the sort of weather to curl up and get on the phone and gossip! Then of course in the evening it was a double dose of X Factor as we recorded Saturday night’s show when we were out. I was surprised Danyl went. I thought Olly (who is one of my favourites) was for the chop after Simon’s song choices (awful) on Saturday and the overly big productions they had going on around him - Olly is better than that - he doesn't need huge productions. I thought Danyl had the best overall Performance on Saturday of Man in the Mirror - hard to predict these things.
Seeing pictures of Anna Friel looking quite flirty with her co-star Joseph Cross made me think of the line between a little bit of flirting and too much. My rule of thumb is only flirt as much as you would when your partner is around, when they’re not around, if that makes sense. Because if you’re flirting to an extent that you'd never do in front of them then it's got to mean something.
Yikes, I'm hoping great things come out of the Climate Change summit in Copenhagen but it's frightening how much pollution is being made by the thousands of delegates. I wonder if people were so keen to attend that they forgot that unless their presence is an absolute necessity they should've stayed home. A real shame when you think about it - you don't want the non-believers to have ammunition of any type against the climate change movement.
Must dash as tons of work and having a friend over tonight - so need to do a bit of tidying after the weekend (and No, I'm not being a control freak about it, my home definitely needs a tidy up!)
Love, Pam X
