Oh purlease, cuddles and sex, whirlwind romances....
So, supposedly romantic novels of the Mills and Boon's variety negatively affect women who end up believing their life should read like the pages of a bodice ripper... oh purlease give us a little more credit! Looking forward to giving an interview to BBC radio West Midlands at 520 this afternoon about a report that men want cuddles but women avoid them...it goes against intuition that says we women are the cuddly ones. Part of the explanation lies in women thinking men are little more than a cuddle!
Had a complete blast presenting the love and relationship show last night on BBC radio Western regions - if you joined me thank you for keeping me company! A bit exhausted as didn't get to bed until 2:30 AM - but still looking forward to catching up with an old pal for drinks tonight.
We chatted about the pressures couples put themselves under to make sure their wedding day is perfect... but like people, no wedding is perfect (except that it celebrates your love). I spoke to a wedding planner wh said the average wedding now costs £23,000 - crikey, almost as much as the average annual wage! Jane told me a hilarious story about having to crawl down the church aisle during the ceremony to make sure everything went to plan.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: we got on to the topic of whirlwind relationships - was blown away by some of the stories where people realised they were ‘meant for each other ‘within a few dates... some had been together for years!
More later with a new article to post, happy Monday, Pam x
