Footie, milliseconds, dodgy moles and more...
Okay, is it February outside? Looks like another weekend might be washed out. That won't stop our plans to have a barbecue with friends before watching England V America. It's going to be horrible - having both British and American citizenship - I've got to be positive and be happy for whoever wins - but equally I'll be devastated for whoever loses. My children are in the same position (being ‘half breeds’ - ha ha!) and one is football mad, so I don't know how they're going to feel about it.
Have just chosen a new "your e-mail at the week" - Debbi's worried sick about her little sister's one night stands. Check it out - and keep e-mailing me.
Was completely fab chatting to Martel on Sun talk radio yesterday - the Sun newspaper's online station. She's one smart and lively presenter and we ended up chatting for about 20 minutes on things ranging from women and their weight issues, what makes good sex, how to be happy (off the back of my new book How to be a Happy Human) and other stuff.
No surprise about the report that men need just a millisecond to choose a girlfriend - when I wear my "date coaching" hat I always tell single women they've got to make that good first impression! It's not that the majority of men are shallow it's that they very quickly suss out whether she'll make a good mate.
Big Scissor Sisters fan but it's taken time for 'Fire With Fire' to grow on me - but it has - good clubbin' tune!
Off to the doc's today after meetings to get a couple dodgy looking moles checked out. It's my hubby who said I should as they're on my back - and it was when he was rubbing sun cream on my back last Saturday (remember when we had that one day of sun?) that’s when he mentioned them.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: So definitely enlist your partner to check out moles on your back under the guise of having them gently massage some suntan lotion into it - or have them use some luscious massage oil. Hey, a gorgeous massage and medical check in one!
Obviously they can take a good look -and it's worth it as I've had a best pal go through having a cancerous mole taken off her lip recently as well as one of my brothers having one taken off his arm -- you don't want to go messing with these things!
On a happier note one of my children is cooking supper tonight for us and a couple other family members - and they are one of these people who has a knack for cooking fish - so we're going to have some sort of tasty tuna with their home-made pesto and Mediterranean grilled vegies. I knew there was a reason why I had children!
Enjoy your Friday! Pam X with this weather I’m not so envious of a friend of mine going to the Download Festival this weekend
