An incredible high, love cheats, you never stop being a parent...
Not surprised Colin Firth forgot his Oscar statuette in a loo - must've been on an incredible high and I know at a psychological level when you're that uplifted memory can go out the window.
So a quick psychological tip - if something very exciting is happening to you that's when you're most likely to leave your mobile phone behind - don't forget to pick it up! Statistics show that people forget their mobs - something we'd normally never forget - at such moments.
I commented in an article on the Men's Health website that's gone live today about the best topics to raise when you first meet a new woman... check it out if you're single and get tongue-tied!
Oh no, not another love cheat! I couldn't believe reading that EastEnder’s actor Neil McDermott has cheated on his wife (how incredibly disappointing!) when she'd only just had their baby girl six weeks ago. But then again how many ‘luvvies’ feel entitled to do what they want when they make public appearances (PAs) as he was doing at a nightclub. He’s pictured in today's papers having left home... most likely booted out.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I've said it before: if you're thinking about cheating then think how you'd feel if the tables were turned - do you want your partner to cheat on you?? I think not! So keep your trousers or knickers on, remember why you are with them, and if you're feeling neglected then ask for more attention.
Have I said how much I love Dr Dre and Eminem I Need a Doctor? Eminem can't put a foot wrong right now.
Oh gosh, leave Madonna alone! As another mother who sometimes wears short skirts (er, well, not as short as her Oscar outfit!!) I really hate this whole thing about having a go when she wants to wear something OTT and risqué. Is that such a bad thing? Wouldn't the Oscars fashion coverage be more boring without people like Madonna?
Just because we're mums do we have to dress like nuns?
Staying with parents I could've told you myself that you never stop being a parent despite your children growing up when I read that 38-year-old Lucy Davis (Jasper Carrott’s daughter) has been comforted by her parents as her marriage has broken down. Absolute proof that you never stop being a parent and I'm sure many parents have got the T-shirt - helping their grown-up children in various ways.
So a word of warning for you if you've got, say, a three-year-old or a 13-year-old - you'll still be worried about them when they're 21!
Lovely to hear the new Wolfgang tune on Radio 1 yesterday - I recommended him months ago.
Had a mochcacino with a pal yesterday for a mid-day break and it had so much caffeine in it I was on a high the rest of the day - tasted delicious but if you order one at a Patisserie Valerie watch out - the 'high' lasted about four hours!
Looking forward to drinks out with another tonight straight after work... no mochacinos for me!
Enjoy your day, Pam x
