Sun, sea and sangria apart from each other, from tragedy to happier things...
Holidaying apart can be a good thing for many couples... but not everyone thinks that so I've written an article that's gone live on MSN UK’s Him Channel about why some women (and of course some men) feel terribly insecure about this. If it applies to you check it out for advice on handling what can be a tricky dilemma.
Over to radio news - fab to hear Robin Ince and Brian Cox won the Gold Sony award for their Radio 4 programme the Infinite Monkey Cage - not only hilarious but you actually learn something too.
So cool Ronnie Wood won the radio personality of the year award for his Absolute radio programme - proof you can start a new career at any age! And the legend that is Annie Nightingale so deserved her special award.
You heard of it here first... I recommended Ed Sheeran a week or two ago for his tuneful songwriting and lovely voice only to just hear him on Radio 1!
Away from radio and over to thoughts of one family’s tragedy - I can’t imagine the hell that Kate and Gerry McCann have gone through for four years. To have Maddie kidnapped plus have people question the circumstances surrounding her disappearance is a living nightmare.
I obviously hope with all my heart one day they find Maddie but I also hope the enormous amount of time and attention they've had to focus on searching for Maddie doesn't take away from the needs of their two children.
More sad news as model Kelly Brook loses her baby daughter at five months - something else I can’t imagine going through. With Lily Allen and Amanda Holden having gone through the same thing in the last six months it makes you wonder if these things are just reported more nowadays or if there are more miscarriages. Thankfully Kelly is getting loads of support from her boyfriend and family.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: It's at times like these all that counts is the love around you. Money and fame count for nothing. That's why my constant message is to keep your loved ones close.
One way of putting it into context is you don't come to the end of your life needing money - you come to it needing love.
Happy days - there's a new kitten being added to our extended cat family - one of my children's getting him and he's been named Arthur. Will post a pic once he arrives in six weeks - he's only three weeks old. He's gorgeous and looks so sweet natured.
Have a lovely day, Pam x
