You are a total of your memories and complicated relationships...
Good to read that there's been a huge outflow of love and good wishes to singer Lily Allen after her tragic miscarriage. Because sometimes it feels we live in a selfish society - and we don't.
Today on MSN UK my new article directed at the men The Seven Deadly Sins of Sex has gone live. Hopefully it'll be an eye-opener for men who sometimes don't really think and have a sensitivity bypass in bed.
I'm not being sexist - I've written plenty of articles directed at the girls!
On my weekly iVillage.co.uk blog today I discuss a woman who is having problems with her boyfriend – he wants everything to be on his terms – plus she wants commitment.
You might think the easy solution is to dump him - so would I - but as we should all know by now human relationships are complicated. Take a look if you're in a complicated situation.
Waiting to get the full picture on the American mid-term elections - but right now it's not looking good and the Democrats have lost out.
V annoyed with the supposedly showerproof DAB radio I bought three months ago - when I switched on as I got into the shower this morning to listen to coverage on Radio Four it immediately died a death. Not sure if I've got the time or the will to repackage-it-up and send it back to Amazon. Any good recommendations for shower radios? Then do you e-mail me!
Today what's foremost in my mind is it would be my darling late-mother's birthday. I used to love spoiling her on her birthday with love and affection and pressies and cakes - all good things. Now on her birthday I like to take a moment and reflect on so many memories. Actually I think of her every day.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: when you think about your life - you are a sum total of memories and experiences. Different people make up different parts of that total and for me, my mum is a huge part.
I think this is what people mean when they say "someone lives on with you" because your memories are always there. Sure, many fade but equally many are so vivid.
Treasure the people you've got in your life right now and your memories of the ones no longer with you.
Thinking of her makes me think of music as we dubbed her "Rockin grandma" as she loved music. She would do a bit of light ‘headbanging’ when we put on some tunes even when restricted to a wheelchair in her last days. So today my recommendation is Foals - their new album, Total Life Forever is out now and ace - check it out!
Happy Wednesday, Pam X
