Country music and pink champagne...
Loved Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges (although hubby was less impressed – might’ve been too much country-western music from him!) and Maggie Gyllenhall with great support from Robert Duvall. Jeff plays 'Bad Blake' to perfection - an alcoholic country-western singer who has lost everything of value to him but still has his talent. Won't spoil it for you - but if you like a well-paced human drama with some great music and Southwestern scenery, you should go.
Met up afterwards with some friends for sushi - yup, sushi is one of my favourite foods.
A perk of my job - always being sent sex toys - have a massive new Ann Summers vibrator sitting on my desk – my gosh it's so hefty a girl could get RSI (repetitive stress injury) in her wrists. Say no more!
Was so happy to speak to one of my old radio producers yesterday - we hadn't spoken in 18 months and he's a complete sweetheart. Hate losing touch with people that I care about! But we all know how life can get in the way.
Just been searching for some boxes of chocolate on Hotel Chocolat’s website for Christmas gifts for people I don't really know but who have been helpful and kind over the year - like one of my surgeons and his secretary. The problem is I simply want to order them for myself!!
Heading out to where a pal has moved in with her boyfriend in the further reaches of East London – can’t wait to see her new home. Got to stop at the off-licence and pick up something pink and fizzy for her - she's one of those people that just makes me think of pink champagne. Good way to christen her new home.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: Say you're sorry when you're in the wrong rather than feeling you've got too much pride to do so - this morning I apologised to my hubby for snapping for pretty much no reason, except it's been a long week - but that's not his fault.
Enjoy your weekend, Pam X
