Going away, and from devastation to hot tunes...
Well, I'm off on a ‘working’ holiday (having to take paperwork!) until 18th May. And as I manage my own site - and might not have good access to e-mail - I hope you have a fab first couple weeks of May and that it stops pouring with rain!
Gutted, beside-myself, heartbroken - words like these can't describe my feelings about the devastating and tragic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. I hope the BP executives responsible for not making that rig safe go to jail - and that they lock them up and throw away the key!! This is all about money and profits - no question - evidently they were warned in the last year and prior to that, that they needed to put in place better safety and emergency measures! They didn't do these things probably because they were thinking about saving money - and mistakenly believing that no disaster would happen - and now look at the disaster unfolding.
Now on a lighter note in Bank holiday Monday's Daily Express I have an advice feature just for you if you've been accused of being selfish - or know in your heart that you're a selfish type of person. Time to change and hopefully use some of the advice - you might find your life improves!
My iVillage.co.uk blog will continue to go live every Wednesday - got some great topics coming up for that.
I've posted my postal vote - not saying who I voted for as that's my business! But I hope you get out on May 6 and vote.
I hope you'll continue to e-mail "your e-mail of the week” so I've got some good ones to put up when I get back.
Been loading up my iPod with more tunes - on the energy-rockin side I've got some Lost Prophets, Biffy Clyro, Bullet for My Valentine, the King Blues (head butt sounds soooo like the Ramones' Sheena is a punk rocker!) and some older tunes from The Coral, the FutureHeads (and some of their new stuff), Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, some of the grime boys like Tinchy Strider, Chipmunk, Plan B, Taio Cruz, plus some Dizzy and Jay-Z, Snoop Dog, then I’ve thrown in the Darwin Deez, the Drums, Wild Beast, XX, Friendly Fires, Example, Usher and loads of others. It's going to be tunes and relaxation some of the time - and work (+ tunes) the rest of the time.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: enjoy some music today! Choose something that suits your mood or boosts it up!
Have a wonderful couple weeks - hope you have some happiness and love come into your life, lots of love Pam X
