Unbelievable...you can never assume...
Unbelievable that Olly Murs ended up in the bottom two In X Factor last night. Yup, I thought the song choice Saturday night wasn't the best but as always he gave it his all with that irresistible, cheeky glint in his eye. Had to agree with Simon Cowell last night - no one can ever assume they're completely safe. I want to see him in the final with Stacey (loved her black and diamante dress Sat. night!)and either Danyl or Joe – can’t make my mind up between those two.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: Olly's experience makes me think that you can never assume something’s going to go your way - but I DO think optimism on the whole is much better than pessimism. I recently went to a screen test that a couple pal’s assumed I was going to ace - and get the gig - a TV show about relationships - but I wasn't selected. I always have hope in those situations but never, ever assume - and that's the key difference. I guess that's the fine line between confidence and arrogance. So keep positive about what you're aiming for but don't get overconfident - sods law it won't happen. Even if you're positive it may not happen but better than going into things thinking they can't possibly happen.
Horrible about the floods in parts of the country - 20 years ago my house flooded and I can remember what a pain and trauma it was all this time later.
So Katie Price is coming out of the jungle - who can blame her? I definitely think she never should’ve left her young children for up to 3 weeks but she didn't deserve mass-bullying!
Enjoy your Monday - after lots of meetings I'm meeting up in Soho with a pal for a light bite - haven't decided whether we're going Japanese or classic bar food. Pam x
