Squeezing some romance out of him, appalled by the cruelty, your emails....
If you want your man to be more romantic (that’ll be most women, eh?) then check out the article on goodtoknow.co. uk where I've given lots of advice.
There’s no magic solution to getting romance out of a man – at times it's like squeezing blood from a stone - but sometimes with a little effort you can coax him back into more of a romantic-zone.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: one little surprising thing you can do to generate a better feeling between you and hopefully stimulate some romance is to be a little softer, kinder, and more loving... it's amazing what a little bit of feminine charm can do for the male ego. Fingers crossed he then repays the favour!
And if he doesn't get the message then a little bit of straight talking might just do it – sit him down and explain you just want a little bit of that special, sparkling, magic from early in your relationship.
I'm appalled by some of the mocking comments about the tragic state Amy Winehouse is in - do these cruel people not realise she's in the grip of a devastating addiction and probably at death's door? I used the word "shame" the other day about deadbeat dads who neglect their children after a divorce or breakup. Well, I'm using it again about the shameful people that mock anyone in this state.
On to lighter thoughts - the Miles Kane track Inhaler is sooo growing on me - loving his 60s influence sounds... in fact loving the Album.
Had a lovely long chat with Helen the producer of the BBC Western region radio shows I'm doing over four weekend in July... I want to discuss things that matter to people plus some of the fun things of life... any topic suggestions please do e-mail me at "your e-mail of the week".
Lovely to catch up with friends we don't see very often last night at the Brompton Quarter cafe - love their middle eastern-influenced salads....give me a pile of tabouleh and moutabal (sp?) any day!
Have had lots of e-mails asking what day I post a new one each week - thought I'd made it clear but maybe not - 99% of the time the new one gets posted on Thursdays. So if you e-mail me then yours might go up on Thursday.
As always, apologies I can only and is one per week - I work about 50 hours a week (I'm NOT asking for sympathy) as well as keeping my website up to date on my own - would love a PA but that's not going to happen.
Happy Wednesday, Pam X
