Spread a little love and music to do it by...
The phone went off the hook yesterday with loads of radio stations wanting comment about Wills and Kate's engagement - managed to squeeze in some comment but otherwise had proper work to do!
As a trained body language expert it was painfully obvious that Kate was under extreme pressure not to say one word that could be misinterpreted or make one gesture that'd make for good copy and interpreted and by... a body language expert like me.
I do believe you should be your own person (as long as you respect others) - including the way you dress - heavens knows I have the most bizarre collection of styles I wear - but even as an independent spirit I would've tried harder than skinny-leg jeans as Kate Middleton's mother wore yesterday. Sorry, if she wants to be embraced by Royals she's got to make a bit of an effort for a photo call on the day of her daughter's engagement.
The nation seems split between those who wish them every happiness and those who can’t stand the Royal family and all that goes with them. Yes, we need to streamline expenditure on the Royals in these difficult times but they are an institution that is part of this country's history.
Not only do I wish every happiness for Wills and Kate but to the doom-and-gloom mongers let's not forget how much tourism this huge event will bring in.
How can you not be happy about two people finding love - no matter who they are and no matter what your politics? With every bit of love that blossoms in the world a little bit spreads outside of that couple.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: grab that person you love, give them a hug today - there's not enough of this good stuff!
Have just posted a new dating article on "hot off the press" on my homepage.
Thinking of love check out Rumer’s track ‘Slow’ - simply beautiful. If you haven't come across her then well worth it - she has a beautiful voice.
And staying with beautiful things - have got my hands on Take That's new album (of course no. 1 in the album chart this week) - don't love every track (and don't like the album art) but some are fab.
I remember doing a piece on GMTV when the boys broke up - I was giving advice for mums to cope with their teenage daughters having breakdowns over it.
Wonder if any of the new boy bands like JLS or The Wanted would have the same effect? Probably the JLS boys would have such an effect.
Looking forward to an evening out tonight with a professional group of women that I have the highest admiration for - great company, good food and and a little wine - what more could you ask for?
Happy Wednesday, Pam x
