X Factor highs and lows, are you like his mum, don't be pressured over Christmas bevvies...
Yay – v happy Matt won the X Factor - though Rebecca was fabulous too - he's destined to go far with his unique talent... time after time he made other people's hits his own ...whoever thought the Britney Spears’ classic Hit Me One More Time could be done the way he did it?? Although shy onstage evidently he's a ladeez man destined for many tales in the tabloid gossip columns.
Wonder if the X Factor producer who decided it was a good idea to have a raunchy burlesque show on a family programme will be sacked? A real low point and if my children were younger I'd be one of those parents complaining... Christina Anguilera and her dancers were like watching a suggestive lesbian romp... fine for the over 18s.
If you're facing the family from hell this Christmas take a look at my article on MSN UK under "sex and relationships" - I've tried to give tips for every possible situation!
Also today my article about Wills and Kate has gone live on Good to know. co. uk - it's about how men frequently pick women like their mothers to settle down with... a little eye opener for you if you hadn't thought about this.
Hmmm... getting my "behaviour expert’s hat" on thinking about Liz Hurley admitting her marriage is over. Now why wouldn't you put out a press statement, tweet it, or whatever, the minute you got wind a national newspaper was splashing your fling with Shane Warne across its cover?
That tells me that for whatever reason Liz was quite happy to let the ‘story’ run - when really it wouldn't have been a ‘story’ if everyone had known she was separated. Attention? Letting someone else (the newspaper) put the final nails in the coffin of her marriage - if her husband‘s still hoping for reconciliation?
There's something behind it because that story could’ve been stopped or altered into a simple "Liz’s marriage has broken up and she’s seeking comfort in Shane’s arms" type story.
Despite waking up with a throat like razor blades (doesn't illness go hand-in-hand with the Christmas season??) I'm going to lunch with some journalists I work with today - you know what they say about journos... they do know how to celebrate... I'll probably be the only sober one there! It's later and I stand corrected - a lovely lunch fuelled only by a little - not lashings of - wine.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I can have fun whether I drink, don't drink, or drink a little - very lucky like that. But if you're under pressure to drink more in the run-up to Christmas at celebrations just stand your ground.
It's ridiculous qualities people put away at this time of year. Why shouldn't you be able to have fun when sober or only mildly tipsy? Even when it comes to Christmas parties - I dance whether sober or not - love dancing that can’t dance to save my life so why would a few drinks make a difference to that??
Just have fun and do it your way! Happy Monday, Pam X
