Breakup stories, foot fetishes, mild-mannered...
Had a blast last night presenting the love and relationships show on BBC Western regions radio - we chatted a lot about break-ups - I learned things from a couple of the stories and some were so touching - particularly Margarite's story three marriages - the first two incredibly sad (one husband coldhearted and the other violent) and the final one incredibly happy - all was right at the end of the day.
So Tom won The Apprentice - Helen and Tom were my faves - Jim was a little bit too quick with the patter and Susan was just too young. Tom wasn't an obvious choice because of his mild manner and the number of losses in the boardroom but his idea was better than the rest...what was Helen thinking with her half-baked concierge plan? There are tons of those around the country!
Fab to see a genuinely nice guy win...when there are so many sharks in business.
Back to last night’s show and foot fetishism came up - this is a fairly inoffensive fetish unless someone has a real problem and can’t help themselves going faint around female feet. My advice was to not worry about it unless he'd lost relationships because of it. Heck, some women love would love a nightly foot massage!
But if a fetish disturbs the person - or their partner - and they want to break free from it they should find help with CBT - cognitive behaviour therapy.
Will be recording tomorrow's parliamentary questions for the News International figures - will be gripping stuff - too bad it's during the day.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I fear the entire British newspaper system’s going to unravel – can’t imagine for a minute that hacking wasn't going on outside of News International - it must’ve been happening elsewhere.
Oh dear, what did I predict about the Eurolottery winners? Evidently they've gone into hiding because of everyone trying to get money out of them. They need to hold their nerve and take time to decide what to do...still, I'm sure most of us wish we had their 'problem'!
Happy Monday, Pam X
