Did she really make those nibbles??
We found a beautiful tree from a sustainable source yesterday and I can’t wait to decorate it tonight. After going to a drinks and nibbles thing yesterday (with the most delicious nibbles - to die for - not sure if the host had bought them or made them - and didn't want to put them on the spot and ask) we got out the Christmas decorations. While watching the X Factor - that we’d recorded while we were out - we started sorting out the tangle of baubles - convinced we put them away neatly last year.
Can’t believe lovely Stacey is out - though I'm not sure how she would’ve coped with the hours she be separated from her young son. Because Olly or Joe are facing a gruelling schedule. I know first hand from my contacts in the music industry just what they're going to be facing. Oh sure, lots of glitz and glamour plus adulation from their new fans but long, lonely hours on top of that. Torn between these two - Olly looks like fun and JOe has the voice of an angel.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: speaking of lonely, I know a lot of people are on their own at Christmas - sometimes because they work away and can’t afford to travel home, sometimes because of divorce and other reasons. If you're in that situation, now’s the time to maybe volunteer at a charity to help out over Christmas (I did at a local hospital the first year I was separated (in my first marriage) and it was really rewarding - helped others and helped myself while I was waiting for the children to be dropped back from their access visit). Or look around your office and see if someone else is going to be alone that you might want to share some time with.
Also started writing the Christmas cards - made from recycled paper. So all in all it really is feeling Christmassy at home.
Have a lovely Sunday evening, Pam X
