From playing Cupid to tension and fear...
I'm a sucker for dating shows - did you see Sky Living Love Machine? Hmm, slightly odd combo of Chris Moyles and Stacey Salomon [the media's new evil queen of smoking mothers] presenting but it worked in its own strange way.
The female audience reaction to stunning blonde Amy arriving onset was complete comedy - if looks could kill she was dead many times over.
If you've ever tried to play Cupid you know it's a dodgy and dangerous affair - I love putting people together but garden it for every two couples are introduced I've probably had one failure. One was quite a spectacular failure.
And what about Homeland? Completely addicted - last night’s episode the tension increased when Brody shot that poor flower-munching deer. the last thing I'd do is what wife Carrie did - angrily challenged him. What confront a crazed man who's just shot something??
TODAY’S TIP: but back to playing Cupid - the first tip to putting two people together is to first think about your own motives - are you just satisfying some need to interfere and meddle in people's love lives?
Or do you genuinely think two singles you know might have a chance?
Also do listen to them - what they say about the sort of person they're looking for - you can't force a round peg into a square hole even if you just want to create a new couple from two singles!
And onto the serious things of this world like what's happening in Afghanistan, Syria and Nigeria - and many other hellholes -it's frightening and appalling. It seems the perpetrators of this violence don't learn from the cruelty of others - how it never pays and how there is always a better way.
Be thankful we're living safely over here, Pamx
