Fun telly job, lots of worried parents...
Unbelievable - we're going to have a barbecue early evening - who'd have thought it on 1 October?? Have this lower level of paranoia underneath my elation over the sunshine that it's all about global warming. Guess all we can do is enjoy it - but it makes me super-resolved to always switch everything off when it's not being used.
Have got a fun telly job over the next month doing a bit of chat about celebrity relationships and what we can learn from them for Body in Balance TV - Ch 275 on Sky - more details on Monday - first slot on Monday night.
Caught a bit of the Cee Lo Green live lounge yesterday a.m. on Radio 1 when I was rushing around trying to get ready for my celebration lunch – lurve that man! Sang some of my favourite tunes and I loved his cover of Miles Kane's Inhaler.
Will probably have some of their tunes playing at the bbq tonight.
Had a surprising number of e-mails in response to Angie worried about her teenage daughter [to see her dilemma check out "your e-mail of the week" on my homepage]. Almost all of them said what I did - don't we all worry are parents as teenagers? Then we forget about it once we're parents - and worry so much about our own teenagers.
TODAY’S TIP: it's tough when we’re all so ‘time short’ but try and make some time to just "be" with your teenager. And of course with your other children too.
These 10, 15, 20 minutes are just about sitting, chilling out together, maybe having a snack or talking about what's on telly. It's just a time where you’re completely focused on them. You're not checking your mobile for messages, doing chores, whatever.
Many teens get in touch with me saying their parents have no time for them - they may act like they don't want your attention but underneath it they do.
Enjoy the weekend, Pam x
