Being a homebody...
Finally finished Winter in Madrid (by J Sansom) late last night after a cosy evening in front of the telly with Hubby. Hmmm… well I'm not going to be recommending it because quite frankly I found the dialogue stilted and although it was written about a fascinating time early in World War II I didn't find it gripping and didn't believe some of the characterisation.
But I'm going to choose a new book (no matter what we do in the evening - stay in, go out, whatever) as I always read late at night. Admittedly if we've been to a party I might not remember the next day what I've read! But I have some great ones to choose from - will keep you posted.
Just listening to Biffy Clyro to get completely woken up this morning - loving them!
We tramped around the sales on New Year's Eve and last Saturday - and I'm so excited as the built-in ovens, we got a fantastic deal on, are being delivered today. Must go sort out the kitchen.
Then it's so flippin’ cold we’re going to bundle up for a walk. No excuses for not getting a bit of exercise even with Arctic conditions!
TODAY’S THOUGHT: you might call me a fanatic, but I absolutely believe that every day you should - in some shape or form - get a bit of exercise. It's good for the body and it’s even better for your mind. So whatever you enjoy doing - even a little bit - get out and do it. Or stay inside (obviously if you’re snowbound) and at least walk up and down the stairs a few times if you have them.
Even with all the operations I've had the last couple years - and even when stuck in a hospital bed - I did some sort of movement to get the circulation going. This is a habit I learned from my late-father who was absolutely dedicated to keeping going no matter what the circumstances.
Oh Gaawwwd, why did celebrity Big Brother choose Ivana Trump to go in the house last night? You know, she’s not one of these people I don't even find a jot interesting. She looked very odd indeed - and I can’t work out why she'd want to go in CBB (except for the attention and she already gets loads of that. And she obviously earns a fortune from all her businesses - so it can’t be the money). There are so many other people I would've chosen!
Poor Basshunter - he seems to adore Katia - she's a tricky one who sends out mixed vibes!
Have a great weekend, love, Pam X
