Unrequited love and eating disorders...
In today's Daily Express newspaper I've written a feature about unrequited love. A survey has found that about 1/5 of those long for someone else when we're actually in a relationship.
And isn't this just so true? This theme has been played out in television shows like Friends and Sex and the City - as well as in any good Victorian novel including my favourite Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: my one piece of advice if you're in this type of love-conflict is don't act rashly. It's easy to get up in the bizarrely delicious type of heartache that unrequited love can bring. But being caught up in it means you can leave rational thought behind you.
If you're concerned about a loved one with an eating disorder and do check out my weekly blog on iVillage.co.uk - today I've responded to a man who is concerned about the girlfriend he loves dearly.
Yikes, it's one of those manically busy days today before having dinner with a couple pals tonight.
Enjoy your Wednesday, Pam X
