Secret fears, the Apprentice and extreme colleagues, insecurity....
Do you worry you you'll lose the spark if you move in with the person you're dating? It's a fear many couples have (or sometimes only one partner worries about it...in secret) and on my weekly iVillage.co.uk blog I've tackled this dilemma. Take a look for some practical advice if you're going through this.
Couldn't help but feel for Renée Zellweger photographed in New York at the Metropolitan Museum of Costume’s gala - her body was honed to perfection yet her body language shouted ‘insecurity’. She's 42 with a number of broken relationships behind her and no children in sight - a potentially very lonely and insecure place to be.
Oh yes, The Apprentice line-up’s been announced and we can expect even more underhanded behaviour and Machiavellian plots as they're competing for 250 K! Going to be glued to it. Why? Because it's like putting a microscope on offices across the country. Of course they take extreme characters but don't we see extreme behaviour everywhere?
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I don't think I've ever worked in an office where there weren't a motley assortment of competing characters each with their own agenda.
My advice for office life is to get to know everyone’s characters, be true to yourself, don't get involved in this game playing, stand up for yourself when you need to, and if things get ‘iffy’ - document everything.
And apart from that have fun and enjoy as much of your work as possible - all of your work if you're one of the lucky ones that loves what they do!
Completely loving the Black Keys’ Tighten Up - so many funky tunes this spring!
Hope you're planning to get out and vote tomorrow - I actually enjoy walking to my local polling station, marking my ballot and slipping it in the box. You might think your vote doesn't count but think back to the cliff-hanger of the Al Gore v Bush Jr election in the States and it was apparent every vote counted!
Happy Wednesday, Pamx
