It's a tough job, poisoning guests, only do the A list...
V glad Harry of McFly won Strictly - not only a fab dancer but a handsome, polite guy....sooo rate politeness - don't see enough of it.
Watched two DVDs last night - both were disappointing. Ides of March with Ryan Gosling was poorly scripted, never really got going, and had a very lame ending... even George Clooney as the misbehaving Governor couldn't rescue it.
We've Got to Talk About Kevin was spartan and Tilda Swinton never changed expression - didn't do justice to the anxiety and horror of the book. With a family member in Bafta - who now must watch all these DVDs for the voting in early Jan. - it's a tough job but I've got to sit through all these DVDs with them. :-)
Nearly poisoned friends on Saturday night with the toughest roast chicken ever - this was supposedly free range and organic [got to have a word with the local butcher]- it was like chewing your way through leather.
Thankfully the dessert was quite delicious - a rarity for me - a really rich chocolate pot consisting of little more than 200 gms of very dark chocolate, 300 mls of single cream, one egg and some pure vanilla essence. Topped with raspberries and vanilla ice cream it was scrummy - and lovingly made with much finger-dipping to taste it as it was stirred....Nigella woud've been proud.
TODAY’S TIP: okay, I'm hearing from too manay peeps that are getting to nervous breakdown level at this point - it's simply not worth stressing out over if you're not prepared for Christmas. That's not the point of Christmas!
Prioritize today what really needs to be done and then let the rest go... Create an A list - the things you absolutely must do. And a B list - but things best left undone else they will tip you over the edge!
Happy Monday, Pam x
