Dangerous women, dodgy break-ups and more...
Omg, the sun's out! Happy days - if I get my workload done I'm meeting a friend for drinks despite a cold. It'd be lovely to go somewhere with an outside bar/terrace.
How true - a report out today about firstborn children are most likely to become a star is so true. Evidently more rock stars and celebrities are first born than coming from any other place in the birth order.
I find birth-order ‘psychology’ fascinating and have written about it before. Must find the time to put down some thoughts on it here one day soon.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: Have you thought about where you come in your family and how that impacts on your personality? I can see the "effects" of birth order in my children and myself and my three older brothers. Just don't let it get set in concrete - be the best person you can be despite your family's expectations!
Will they, won't they… Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson get back together? I'd bet you the blouse off my back (thank god I've got a bra on!) that even if they get back together it will fall apart soon. They've had too much too young. And it could get a bit dodgy if they get too many mag deals about getting back together - and then breaking up again - and getting married - and then divorcing, etc.
Talk about "dangerous women" and risking your well-being… I couldn't believe that Amy Whitehouse has grabbed herself a supposedly "normal" man in the shape 33-year-old film director Reg Traviss. Although what "normal" means in this context I'm not sure. Good luck to him! You know the saying that "behind every good man is a good woman"? Well, it works in reverse too and maybe this is just what Amy needs to turn herself around - once and for all - to stop self-destructing and let her creative streak burst forth again. And then we might benefit by getting some more phenomenal music out of her!
If you've had a one night stand - that's developed into more - check out my blog on iVillage.co.uk today. I have some very frank advice for a woman who is going through just that.
On the serious side today, it's unbelievable what's happening over the volunteers and aid workers taken captive by the Israelis. They were trying to show an international act of solidarity (coming from something like 33 different countries as volunteers) to help the poor people of Gaza who are living in such terrible conditions.
This is a terrible act that the international community must take action on. But looking at how North Korea got away recently with killing a number of South Korean sailors - with barely a slap on the hand - I don't hold out hope that the international community will end up doing much more than making a few UN style resolutions that don't actually do anything.
Now, back to your day - hope you've got some time to enjoy the sun, Pam X
