When you'd rather be anything but obese and Net-love...
I've given a few thoughts in an article in today's Daily Mail newspaper about some interesting research into obesity and happiness. This research found that it makes women more unhappy to be obese than to be single when they want a partner.
Obesity makes people miserable so if you're struggling with this please do take one day at a time. Eat a little bit less at each meal and walk a bit further each day, as well as consulting your GP about how you should tackle your obesity.
Fresh Off The Press - check my homepage under 'fresh off the press', I've posted a recent article and quiz on body image, if you're worried about yours.
Yay, it's Tuesday and I'll be doing my weekly agony slot on Dublin Newstalk radio. Thinking of weight issues last week we discussed a man's dilemma about how to let his partner know she was gaining too much weight… and he was finding her less attractive.
How do you let someone know? Very tactfully and skillfully you introduce better eating habits and more exercise into your household as I just mentioned above.
The producer tells me today we've got some interesting dilemmas including a woman with an online dating issue. Ahhh, 'Net-Love' - two of my best pals have found their relationships through Internet dating.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I've written a lot about how to lose weight. Here are just a couple quick tips that can get you started: Serve your food portions on smaller plates so it looks like you've got a larger portion, invest in some pale-mid blue dinner plates as this shade switches your appetite off, drink a full glass of water before you eat, never shop on an empty stomach (you're more likely to buy junk), don't get too comfortable wherever you eat as you're liable to stay longer and eat more if you're feeling comfortable. Good luck!
Thank goodness the tube strike's over - so disruptive and so unnecessary - cancelled all meetings yesterday because I always get stuck somewhere during the strike. V glad I can get in town tonight as seeing a pal for a catch-up cocktail.
Enjoy your day, Pam X
