Passionate love, cheating hearts....
At 940 this morning I'm looking forward to chatting to Mike Parr on his programme at BBC radio Tees - you can listen in on the net if you're interested in infidelity as that's what we're going to be talking about. More on that below.
Woot, on the home stretch of the new book and can stop being a hermit! Looking forward to going to television recording of Live at the Apollo - I know the very funny Milton Jones is on the bill, not sure who else.
It's Thursday so I've posted a new "Your e-mail of the week" – select the gold star on my homepage - you can e-mail me and read the ones that have been answered. This week it's from Angie who's worried about her 16-year-old daughter being head over heels in love with a boy.
If this is happening in your family check out her story and my advice.
I hope rumours that Ashton Kutcher has cheated on Demi Moore are false - not only without the crushing but she or he looks painfully thin been pictured at the launch of her new film. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, it's a horrible experience.
TODAY’S TIP: if you've just been betrayed please don't keep it to yourself. Many people feel so humiliated didn't even tell their best friend. The worst thing is for you to feel isolated and even lonelier!
My very first tip is make sure you share this if you can. You need the strength of a good friend to get you through.
There are two phases to sharing problems with friends - the first is to offload painful emotions with a trusted person. And the next phase is to start finding solutions - being able to chat them through. Because further down the line you just don't want to go over and over the crisis with a friend and never move forward.
The 2nd tip when you discover an affair is to not make any final decisions - like kicking the cheat out - when you're feeling a hurricane of emotions. Statistics shows 60% of couples do stay together after infidelity. If you have lots at stake [like children] and can work it out hopefully you come out stronger.
Good luck, Pam x
