Diet tips, our so-called non-drop Christmas tree, easy cooking...
Have had so many e-mails asking for diet tips in the run-up to Christmas - on my homepage select “Powerful Living” - check the menu down the left of the different articles - about 10 articles down is A dozen diet tips for controlling your appetite. Good luck!
Very disappointed - the non-drop tree we got from Homebase on Saturday is already dropping - what the heck?! How's it going to struggle through to Christmas? Have a good mind to ring them and complain - but who has the time for those same calls?
Rant over - thinking ahead to the ‘easy’ dinner I want to make friends tomorrow - was thinking a warm salad of baked figs and goats cheese with southern-style crispy-caramelized pecans on a bed of mixed leaves might be. Think it's the easiest starter I can think of! And then it's going to be raised thyme and citrus chicken - roast potatoes and veg of some sort. I'm not being lazy I'm just tired... who isn't at this time of year?
TODAY’S TIP: Distraction techniques are key when you're not going to provide quality food - put loads of candles on the table and lots of Christmas baubles at each place setting - then dim the lights and your guests aren't going to notice if you're serving a plain roast dinner.
Oh, and lots of chilled out tunes - Friendly Fires, Michael Kiwanuka, Wombats, Ben Howard, Ed Sheeran - all that kind of good stuff will help distract from what you've actually cooked.
Have a lovely weekend, Pam x
