Stop judging too quickly...
I hope you've woken to the brilliant sunshine where you were -- a gorgeous day - heading out for a run with the ‘hubster’.
Had another DVD night with friends and watched In The Loop - Peter Capaldi’s simply brilliant in his foulmouthed bullying spin doctor role, but you felt like you were watching the TV series (about British politics) rather than a feature film.
Then we had a sneaky peek at celebrity Big Brother - I Liked Lady Sovereign – Sov - until about four days ago when she started behaving like a teenage brat - and her post-eviction night, survival antics were ridiculous and egotistical - she's soon for the chop.
Loved Andrew Sullivan's piece in The Sunday Times this morning about Obama's first year. Can barely believe it was only a year ago (seems like two years at least) since he was inaugurated. I burst with pride that day and must admit, shed some tears of happiness. The point he was making is don't judge someone too quickly, as Obama has been. And also don't judge them unfairly - as Obama's been. (btw, is it wrong to have a crush on president of the United States??)
TODAY’S THOUGHT: we're all guilty of jumping the gun and judging people too quickly. And it's human nature to stereotype someone quickly - and then put them securely in the little box you think they belong in. Watch yourself when you're doing this - particularly if it has repercussions for the person you're judging. I have to stop myself from judging too quickly - because I've been wrong about someone before - we all do!
Happy Sunday! Love, Pam X
