Honey traps aren't the solution, mood-lift, scary stuff...
In today's Sun newspaper I've commented on the story of a male honey trap. Quite frankly if you've called in a honey trap you should probably call time on your relationship. This is not the way to go about sorting problems between you and rebuilding trust.
Two Guvnors was fantastic - if you need a mood-lift and can get tix I urge you to go. James Corden is adorable anyway [think Gavin and Stacy] but he outdoes himself in this comic romp.
Afterwards made a big mistake of watching ITV's Whitechapel off the planner late last night... cripes that is creepy stuff and so graphic with the butchered limbs in this episode.
If you're queasy at the thought I wouldn't watch the next installment on Monday night... and it's definitely not something I should watch at bed time with my over-active imagination at any sound outside the bedroom window.
TODAY’S TIP: life coaches/psychologists like myself talk about facing your fears but some of them need to be faced at the appropriate time.... scary progs at midnight is not good!
The hubby always says [when I cower behind my fingertips] it's just a TV prog, it's just a film, etc. don't let your imagination run wild. And of course he's right - but it's part of our nature to almost want to be scared when watching these things.
When it comes to an actual phobia the first step is to sit down and write out the thing about it you could cope with the most - to the most frightening thing about it.
E.g., with arachnophobia - fear of spiders - you might think you can cope with seeing a picture of one in a book and the worst thing would be to have one crawl over you.
Once you've made a list of the least fearful - to the most fearful aspects - of your phobia plan to tackle the least fearful item first.
That means getting a nature book, sitting down and finding a picture of a spider, relaxing your muscles and breathing deeply as you have a little look at it.
Give yourself loads of praise if you manage the first step! More tips about phobias and other time.
Happy Saturday, Pam x
