Meaty meat and don't moan if you don't vote...
Argghh, no time to give you the low-down on the body langugae from last night's big debate - I'm heading straight off for a fun half-day of radio interviews that will go to lots of local stations across the country on a project I've been doing (vegetarians don't read the rest of this!) with Mattessons to help make things more efficient when you’re shopping for family meals. I've also devised a quick, fun quiz for their website for you to identify your shopper/hunter typology and those various suggestions to enhance your shopping experience. I'm a complete omnivore and love meat, fish and vegetarian food - and I find a healthy balance every week between these types of meals.
I have many friends who are vegetarians or ‘pescatarians’ (eat fish and vegetarian) and of course never served meat when they come over! Also one of my children is pescatarian - from a young age - so there was always loads of fish in the house.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I completely respect people's opinions to be what they want but I just don't want them to shove their ideas down my throat - and literally speaking too!! Of course I want to know that good, ethical farming practices are used when it comes to how animals are treated and I am very careful what I buy but I'm not then be bullied down the path of giving up meat and fish.
I like to have my cake, beef, lamb, fish, and vegetarian - and eat it too!
Tomorrow I'm looking forward to chatting with Vanessa Feltz on her BBC radio London show. I lurve talking to her - we often disagree and things can get lively - but a good debate's what it's all about.
I've just updated "your e-mail of the week" choosing Ben's brokenhearted e-mail.
It's Friday - have fun, Pam X
