A disgrace and the divorce diet...
My eyes nearly popped out of my head when reading in the paper today that the disgraced ex-ministers like Jeff Hoon and Patricia Hewitt may end up with peerages! What?! How can someone who was ready to sell their access to power in political circles be given that reward? This is something I'm writing to my MP about.
Thanks, have had lots of thoughts on Carrie's situation about losing her virginity in "your e-mail of the week" - I might just post some of those on Monday when I change it over. Or, you never know, I might post one of your other completely different e-mails.
Today on my iVillage.co.uk blog I had an interesting dilemma about a woman who wanted to experiment with sex toys. She sounded like a sexually confident woman but despite that still felt she'd be embarrassed going into a shop to look at vibrators. If that's how you feel then check it out.
Oh dear, Cheryl Cole looks like she's started the "divorce diet" as I call it. In my book from about seven years back (The Breakup Survival Kit) I first outlined this phenomenon where women go through dramatic weight loss as their marriage breaks down. Their size is like a barometer of their emotional state.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: don't you just want to shake her and say, "Cheryl snap out of it! He's simply not worth it!" But haven't we been there with friends that keep giving repeated chances to someone who treats them badly? When they won't listen all that you can do is stand by their side and give them support - and help pick up the pieces - when it finally goes horribly wrong.
Loving the Futureheads new track Heartbeat Song – definitely worth a listen!
Have a great day, Pam X
