Weight loss, conspiracy theories...
Are you concerned about weight loss? A gaggle of celebrity women have recently lost weight - Pauline Quirk, Dawn French and Nigella Lawson - and they also just happened to be over 50. But as 50 is the new 40, etc., many are realizing they've got fantastic years ahead of them so why not be a healthy weight? I've commented in today's Express newspaper about this.
The Help I'm a Celebrity jungle trials are bad enough [could they get any grosser this year??] but with sick celebrities dropping like flies what's going on? I await the ITV conspiracy theories...people tweeting that it's all a plot of some sort!
Saw a pal for drinks last night - she's been to Zambia working on an environmental project - in challenging circumstances. Amazing that some people get out there and do gutsy things. Wouldn't recommend The Terrace near Wimbledon train station though - pretty dismal place to have drinks but we needed somewhere handy.
TODAY’S TIP: sometimes it takes a turning point to kickstart looking after yourself better - and not just about how much and what you eat. But also about wanting to stop feeling stressed out of your life, to drink less, to enjoy the little moments, etc..
A good starting point for making these changes is the rule of ‘one half’. For instance, if you snack too much then you then you cut down to one half of your snacks.
Once you get used to having half as many snacks - and depending on your health and weight issues - you might decide to do the ‘one half rule’ again - again cut down by one half.
Was so happy to hear Zane Lowe playing DJ Shadow featuring Little Dragon on my way home the other night - fantastic tune!
