The funny, too hot to handle and more...
Happy July! It's glorious out, Murray is through and while doing some writing I just listened to Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation on Radio Four - about the most witty, funny half hour I've ever heard! Defo recommend you listen.
Later on today I should have time to post a new "your e-mail of the week" - that gives you about three or four hours to raise one over - look forward to hearing from you.
Check out my Love It! magazine column this week for some fun tips for between the sheets. Although I think the recent heat at night has definitely dampened down the passion in many bedrooms. I don't know about you but it's been too hot to handle! Give me an ice lolly and a fan and I'll be happy in these hot nights!
There's a report out today that 'money’s not everything' in life that completely confirms with my research for my latest book How to be a Happy Human and additional research I've commented on recently conducted by Aviva.
This reminds me of a good friend of mine I'll call, Jessica, 43, who put up with a rather awful Banker because of the wealthy lifestyle he provided - but she finally realised that his pompous and sneering attitudes - and sometimes disrespectful treatment of her - wasn't worth the designer clothing and handbags!
So many people get stuck in relationships because the other person has more money and provides them with a better material lifestyle. I find it takes some time before they realise that the financial benefits don't make up for their unhappiness.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: if you're seeing someone because they provide you with things you can't afford - but you're miserable - I can almost predict your future. Believe me, I've seen this many times. You will either come to hate them and eventually leave them or you'll let the financial "rewards" (or should that be "penalties") become your entire life and end up feeling pretty shallow, miserable and lonely inside.
Get your priorities right!
A friend saw the Kings of Leon in Hyde Park last night and said it was the concept of a lifetime - how disappointing not to see them…boo!
