Sexual bombardment of young teens, male-type problems...
I might write sex guides and articles but they're definitely for adults and I was appalled to hear that a certain magazine was providing X Rated sex tricks/tips for teenage readers. I gave a comment about this in today's Sun newspaper... whatever happened to innocence and freshness in teenage relationships?
Do we really want teenagers to behave like porn stars and know the tricks of the sex workers' trade?
I hope not!
It's Thursday so I've posted a new "your e-mail of the week". Thanks for your e-mails and sorry I can only answer one per week - as I've said before I work long hours and run my website myself so it's just not possible to answer more than one.
Get in touch by selecting the ‘Goldstar’ on my homepage... that's what Mark did - he's a 32-year-old man worried about wet dreams - see my answer to his e-mail.
TODAY’S TIP: thinking of X-rated sex tips for teenagers - if you're a parent and you're worried about your teenager being overly sexualised please start drawing boundaries at home. Don't sexualize your conversations with them - because if you're having jokey sexual banter about what they're getting up to you with a boyfriend/girlfriend with them it confuses them.
With your watching TV with your younger children/pre-teens switch off the box when Rhianna [love her tunes but think her outfits are too skimpy for younger children] or someone like her is strutting the stage in next to nothing.
And check out what they're reading in the magazines they buy - some have completely inappropriate content for their young readers.
Take control, their your children, everything you can do you in the home will strengthen them for the sexual bombardment they get outside the home
Take care, Pam x
