Whirlwind mayhem, a gaggle of agony aunts, and getting something good out of your day...
Whirlwind marriage between Katie Price and Alex Reid in Las Vegas? More like whirlwind mayhem! What a classy lady...straight after the ceremony they went to a couple lap dancing clubs. And she says she wants a traditional marriage?
Moving on quickly from dopey celebrities, today's going to be a great day - I'm really looking forward to the Kids in the Middle conference where we're going to be discussing our various projects aimed at helping parents who are separating or divorcing manage their problems so that their children don't suffer.
This is an initiative with all of us agony aunts using our combined power and energy to get things done in this vast area - think of all the children of separated and divorcing parents - a whole ocean of potential pain. And we're working on preventing some of this fallout alongside the Department of Children, Schools and Family. Believe me, we are a formidable bunch!
Not only will I be able to catch up with a few of my agony aunt pals but my hubby also got tix to see Enron tonight - not an easy feat when it's been sold out so many nights! I can’t wait as its hand fantastic reviews.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I try and find something every day to look forward to - even if it's just a catch-up phone call with a friend. When I've gone through pretty dire times - as we all do sometimes - I focus on what good I can get out of that day. It works for me and I hope it works for you! If you practice that every day it becomes a "happy habit". Quite frankly what's the alternative? Always focusing on your difficulties? Yes, we all need to embrace our difficulties and face them (and sort them out) but we can’t let go of the good in our lives - no matter how small - while doing that.
I see the gorgeous Lemar is back - one of the few, very worthy and talented reality-show singing stars.
Made a batch of my ‘famous’ double chocolate chip cookies last night so I'm going to go grab some and get ready for the conference, Love, Pam X
