Breaking up, wandering eyes, grandpas having babies...
Are you going through the pain of a breakup? Maybe have children and you want to stay friends? I never ever want to go through a breakup again! But I've been there and done that enough times when younger and in today's Sun newspaper I've written an article with lots of tips for you.
After 10 a.m. join me for my weekly 'agony' slot on Dublin News talk radio where I chat to the lovely Tom Dunne about listeners dilemmas. Today we've got a couple ‘doozies’ - well, that word takes me back to a time when my late dad used to say it! One of the dilemmas I'm covering is from a man who's happily married but when he drinks he gets a wandering eye.
Mind you, he hasn't done-the-dirty with anyone yet but it's a slippery slope!
TODAY’S THOUGHT: if you've got a good thing - a lovely partner and relationship - don't be tempted to use the excuse of ‘drink’ as a reason why you've got a wandering eye. The thing is, we can blame almost anything on drink.
But face facts - you're simply being selfish if you allow yourself more than a look and end up flirting and maybe taking it further.
I've heard countless stories of heartbreak because someone's cheated and lost something good. They wish they'd never done it. The person who was cheated on will be devastated. My advice: Don't go there!
Oh gawwdd, Rod Stewart going to be a dad again at age 65! Sure, he's got pots of money and can pay for all the help that's needed when he's too decrepit to push its pram. But having had parents who were old enough to be my grandparents (they had me very late in life after my three older brothers) I know there can be difficulties. The main one being I wish they'd had me younger so I could've had my precious parents around for longer!!
At his age he's old enough to be his own baby’s great grandparent!
Enjoy your Tuesday, Pam X
