Don't let the Sun go down on your anger, everyone needs a 'comfort buddy', phone sex...
Having trouble sleeping? I've given one of my favourite sleep tips in today's Express newspaper - definitely don't let the sun go down on your anger otherwise you're guaranteed to toss and turn. So if you've had a row with your other half - even if you can’t solve the situation that evening - tell each other you love each other and will make time the next day to work things through.
Believe me, whenever the hubby and I have a disagreement in the evening we tend to gently tease each other - probably about the silliness of the disagreement - break the tension and never go to bed angry.
Have some hot and steamy sex tips in today's Daily Star newspaper - guaranteed to heat up the cold Christmas that’s on its way.
Over at the Apprentice - finally Lord Sugar saw through Stuart Baggs's grandiose claims about himself. How come it took him so long?? I'm cheering Stella on - about six weeks ago I pointed out in the Express newspaper how Lord Sugar had an obvious soft spot for her - based on his body language and facial expressions around her...hmm, maybe there was something in my analysis.
The gorgeous Gwyneth Paltrow does it again - don't see her for months on end and then she comes back looking like a sex siren - did you see the pix of her today? Slinky white evening gowns led up to her armpits. Last time around she 'came back' in 8 inch black heels with a 4 inch long miniskirt on.
Surprise, surprise so Hugh Grant’s comforting Liz Hurley - she's in turmoil as her marriage breaks up and she starts a red-hot affair with Shane Warne... Why don't those two just get back together again?
TODAY’S THOUGHT: the problem is he’s become her emotional comfort blanket - once you become a ‘comfort buddy’ it's hard to go back to the role of boyfriend.
There's nothing wrong with that - in fact doesn't everyone need a comfort buddy in their life who they can turn to in times of trouble? Definitely - and that's a good thing as long as you don't only go to them when you're in trouble - they should share your happy times too.
Another thing - somehow Liz and Hugh have managed over a decade of friendship after he broke her heart in the mid-90s. A lot of women would’ve just moved on from a love rat - but she forgave him and the rest is history. Having come across couples like that in my work I often find they’re actually two peas in a pod - with personalities so similar they work well as friends - often much better than as lovers.
Finding Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs a strangely perfect antidote to pre-Christmas stress... and I always have to remind myself that they’re Canadian not American. Maybe there are more similarities between the two countries than we believe. Highly recommend!
Just posted a new "your e-mail of the week" from Susie who wants to have phone sex with her boyfriend while their apart over Christmas and New Year's. Click on the Gold Star on my homepage to read it. And thanks to Tom for your nice comment about my article in yesterday's Express - yup, it's very hard to get books published!
Take care and keep relaxed in the face of the barrage of Christmas pressure, Pam X
