Learn from the devastation, celebrities without dresses, grief, tunes...
The mother-in-law is here [did I mention the Jaws soundtrack in a tweet last night? JOKE - thankfully she's lovely] so a brief mention of a couple things - a year on from the Japanese tsunami we should all be thankful we're not in their situation - a family member is on a photography mission there right now and says there is still much devastation amongst all the progress. and the resilience is astounding.
Makes you thankful you don't live in a tsunami zone!
In other news... let's go celebrity... Rihanna has mislayed her dress again for another photo shoot - must get that girl some memory pills!
Grief comes in many forms and PC David Rathband’s wife reported in the papers today as saying that she and their children won't go to his memorial service - that they need to grieve in privacy. They were a couple that had struggled so much and were separated but undoubtedly she's heartbroken over what happened. Already I can hear people judging her and her decision.
TODAY’S TIP: people grieve in different ways - get over it! It's so easy to judge these situations when emotions run high and you might think, e.g., a particular family member isn't grieving enough for someone.
You never know what's in their hearts and how they're taking it. The solution might be just to ASK them how they're doing and find out what they're really thinking rather than judging.
A tune recommendation for the weekend - definitely get some We Are Augustines in your life - Rise Ye Ships is the Album - gripping stuff.
Happy Saturday, Pamx
