Don't fear change...
Kickstarted my bleary-eyed feeling after being out last night with the Prodigy - nothing beats Invaders Must Die for energising you. Maybe a bit of Paramore will help prise open tired eyes.
About Arturo Brachetti's show called ‘Change’ - it would've been perfect to take a good pal of mine and her very inquisitive 10-year-old son - he would've loved guessing what was going on. Honestly, it wasn't just quick change but super, jet fuelled, change speed!
Tiger Woods part two: what a sad man - he gave a press statement that’s only going to fuel interest - he should just come clean. Yup, he'd love some privacy but that's not the world we live in. This will haunt him until the decks are cleared.
As I was quoted in an article in The Express today, many men who find themselves in this situation have a hidden self-destructive streak. In my work I've heard it all and some philanderers have told me that they got a buzz from the risk of balancing two women - and deep-down knew ultimately it could all come crashing down. I don't know what's driven Tiger Woods but it's all crashing down on him. I feel for his wife and all wives in this situation – betrayal’s horrible.
Going to a screening of Maggie Gyllenhalls’ new film tonight – Crazy Heart - can’t wait as she's an amzaing actor.
Got to admire the Commons Speaker's wife Sally Bercow for clearing the decks and speaking out about her past where alcohol and one night stands played too great a part. She sounds like someone who's been there, done that, and learnt a lot about life. Hope she's not torn apart for it. And some of the most wonderful, courageous, strong and lovable people I know are people who have had a hard time with something like drink or drugs and learnt from it. Then again some of the most vile, manipulative people I've ever met have had drink or drug troubles which have twisted them. THEN AGAIN some of the best/worst people I've known have never had drink or drug issues. So you know what this tells me? That this is a complicated area and I might just write a whole article on it.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I have a friend who's frightened of some change in her life. I've told her that lots of people care about her and if the change doesn't work out we’re all there for her. Don't let change overwhelm you - it's part of life.
Take care, Pam x
