Toxic friends, so blatant it brings out the cynic in me...
Hope you're having a lovely weekend! If you've got a ‘problem’ friend - someone you might describe as toxic - check out my article on MSN UK - the life and style channel. It's about how to handle those toxic friends (TFs) that seem to come into your life and take care over.
Thought it was brutal of the X Factor to literally ‘boot out’ of boot camp a quarter of contestants the first morning.
Brings out the cynic in me - clearly done to give viewers’ a cliffhanger. They would've known they'd selected far too many contestants for boot camp long before.
Horrible and unnecessary for all those contestants to go to the big boot camp party, spend the night at hotels, gone in the boot camp transport with all the excitement - and then crushed in such a blatant way.
TODAY’S TIP: back to toxic friends - if your friend makes you feel worse about yourself, takes advantage of you and neglects you, you must stand up for yourself.
Even if you or I wouldn't treat people like that - especially supposed friends - sadly there are people like that in this world who’ll take advantage.
If your kindness and caring isn't returned then pull them up the next time they take advantage. Keep it short and simple - say, e.g., you don't appreciate the fact they've let you down.
Ask them why they've done it rather than sweeping it under the carpet as too many people do.
It's a short one today - got to get back to working on the new book - almost done - woot!
Take care, Pam x
