Loss seems tougher at this time, let some tunes lift your mood, steamy sex positions...
Is loss ever easy? No it's tough. And it feels even tougher at this time of year. We've just lost an extended family member who was a lovely, kind hearted and warm woman. Her funeral is on Christmas eve and the entire extended family is feeling it.
I've just posted an article on tips for handling bereavement at this time of year - check out the "hot off the press" section on my homepage. If you know someone who's had a loss even in the last couple months be mindful that they might put on a front that they’re okay for Christmas... they may not be. Got to watch out for each other!
Changing tone swiftly it's the Kings of Leon tonight - so looking forward to their gig - I love their earlier rockier tunes as well as the more poptastic tunes like Sex on Fire!
OH NOOOO - it's now 3.20 p.m. and just heard the Kings have had to cancel their gig due to a fire at the O2 - tragic! Just when I wanted to rock-out a bit tonight! I'm jinxed - the last big gig I was due to go to a few weeks ago with the Manic Street Preachers was cancelled due to their illness.
After two Christmas things yesterday - one at lunch and one last night I'm a bit washed out but nothing will stop me from getting to that gig.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: Isn't that the thing about music? It can alter our mood so quickly. I know it’ll lift our mood tonight. If you're not yourself definitely put on your favourite tunes and allow it to take you to a new emotional state.
